American Opera Projects partners with New York University's Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program to present a series of six "mini-opera" world premieres, each inspired by Judy Chicago's feminist art installation The Dinner Party. Each opera will be approximately 15-20 minutes in duration, and will be developed from scratch by composers and librettists in the NYU program. AOP singers will assist in the development of each piece, culminating in a public showcase at NYU's Black Box Theatre (715 Broadway, 2nd Floor).
